Pizza Dough
My pizza dough is pretty much the same as my focaccia bread recipe. Not overly involved, the hard part as with most bread products is the kneading. If you have a kitchen aid or similar mixer it is no work at all
Pizza Dough
1 cup (250 ml) warm water
1 tbsp (15ml) yeast
1 tbsp (15ml) sugar
2 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
1tbsp (15ml) olive oil. any oil will work olive just has more flavor
Method.
Mix water, yeast and sugar. Let bloom (5 minutes). Add oil
Mix flour and salt
Add yeast mixture to flour and mix until it is a uniform consistency. the dough should rubbery and flexible, just shy of sticky
Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Uncover and knead for 5 minutes.
Cover and refrigerate. Resting in the refrigerator for a few hours will let it relax and make it easier to roll into shape
