Scottish Scones
This was the first recipe that I posted here a year ago. I finally remembered to take a picture when I made them. They are a like a cross between a biscuit and an oatcake, (a very thick oatcake).
I came across this recipe quite a while ago. It came from a book published in the 1890’s. The book that belonged to a ladies’ grandmother. The book had some hard wear and was not in good shape. We were not allowed to touch the book, only read and copy the recipe.
