Another weekend is here. Two more Saturdays to go this hitch, hopefully the rest of the hitch goes as well as the first few days.
I believe I have made my decision. approximately 1 year from now I am going to retire. That will give me approximately 10 years serving with the Coast Guard over 3 different times. My first time with the Coast Guard was in the early 80’s, on the Louis St Laurent, Alert, Provo Wallis, Edward Cornwallis (the old Cornwallis) and the John A MacDonald. My second tour was in 1997 and 98 on the Hudson and Mathew. My final and current tour started on the Alfred Needler, I then transferred to the Jacques Cartier to accept it into the fleet and then make the trip from Victoria to Halifax. I was then assigned to the Jean Goodwill, but it was not ready for crew, so I did a couple hitches on the Earl Grey, before I finally arrived on the Jean Goodwill in September 2020
