This is a soft chewy truffle common in Brazil. Legend has it, that it got it’s name in the 40’s or 50’s when a brigadier general was running for president of Brazil. As a fund raiser the ladies would make and sell these candies to help the brigadiers cause. He lost the election, but the candies lived on.
