6 Months
It has been 6 months since my first trip to the dietitian. I have not been to see her in over 3 months, but I am still sticking to my routine. I still keep a journal of food consumption. I am not fanatical about never eating butter or fats. I will have an occasional drink of alcohol, but I do not make a habit of it. A single adult beverage a day for a week, equals half the necessary calories for a day. Fried food is okay once in a while, but don’t make it a habit. We have been leaning heavier towards more veg in our meals. Fruit and cut vegetables for snacks.
The weight loss has slowed and I haven’t changed my eating habit. I guess that means I am approaching a stable weight. I will never be a small man. I doubt I could get my weight under 200 pounds
Although the weight loss has slowed, I have started to shrink. The first thing I noticed, I put a long sleeved shirt on and just the tips of my fingers were visible. Then My pants started to get loose. A few weeks ago, I went to buy new pants, a 34 waist fit. That was a first in 20 years. But, in a very short time, they were getting loose. Just a couple days ago I bought a couple pairs of 32 inch pants. I do not remember the last time I wore pants that size.
To make a long story short, I started at 268 pounds. I am now 215 pounds. I have no goal that I am trying to meet, I am just trying to eat better, and cut out the majority of the stupid calories.
