BBQ Sauce
This recipe is my base BBQ sauce. This one is can be shaped to taste. A little sweeter, more vinegar, you want a bit more heat add tablespoon of cayenne. If I am doing this for ribs or pulled pork, I will add the pan juices from the meat.
I tend tend to like sweeter sauce so I may add a bit more sugar. Like my BBQ rub, I keep some in my fridge just to have on hand.
BBQ Sauce
1/2 cup finely diced onion
oil
2 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup dry mustard (substitute prepared mustard if you wish)
2 oz worchestershire sauce
1/2 cup BBQ rub
Put a small bit of oil in a pan with the onions sweat lightly.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
Cool and refrigerate until needed
