Sour Cream Doughnuts

This was another request, but I am not sure if this is the right recipe. I will make 3 different types of doughnuts. This type, a yeast risen doughnut and crullers. I know it is not the cruller he was asking for, so there is a 50/50 chance this is it.

It is important to let the dough rest at least an hour, if it does not rest, the dough may soak up to much oil when frying.

Sour Cream Doughnuts

4 cups flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp nutmeg

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup butter melted

1 tsp vanilla

3 eggs slightly beaten

Directions

Heat oil to 360

Mix dry ingredients.

Add sour cream, butter, eggs, and vanilla

Mix until it just mixed.

Wrap the dough and chill for at least an hour.

Remove from the refrigerator and roll out and into doughnuts

Should make about 3 dozen.
